Holds may be viewed in Tiger Web/ Student portal or at http://chattanoogastate.edu/status.

All financial obligations must be paid in full and holds must be removed before an official or unofficial transcript can be obtained or sent or the student is able to register for classes.

See examples of type of holds below:

Bursar Hold: Can only be removed once fees are paid in full.  These fees owed to the school may be the result of dropping classes or withdrawing while using financial aid,  or for parking tickets, for late fees, etc.

Holds for documents can only be removed once the requested documents are turned in and processed.

Holds for exit interviews can only be removed once the student completes exit counseling at: http://www.studentloans.gov. Allow 3-5 days for this site to inform us that exit counseling was completed.  There are many reasons an exit interview hold may be placed on your account, such as changing a major, approaching graduation, missing a semester, dropping to half time, and switching schools.

Holds for Selective Service require that the student provide proof of registration with selective service or send in a photo or copy of their selective service card.  You may obtain proof of registration or register at http://www.sss.gov

Documents may be faxed to 423-697-4709 or use your smart phone to take a clear photo of the document and email it to esc@chattanoogastate.edu Only attach documents and only write, "to remove hold for.." in the subject line of the email, This email address is for attachments only- do not write in the email, only the subject line.

Allow 3-5 business days for documents to be received and processed.
