Q. How will A&P 1 be taught?

Thank you for your interest in our Anatomy and Physiology 1 course this fall.  Neither our lectures nor our labs will be meeting on- ground for the fall 2020 semester.  You will have a virtual class and your class will meet based on your scheduled class time for the lecture and lab that you signed up for.   Lectures will be a combination of pre-recorded lectures and specialty “difficult-topic" lectures.  During class time, we will be answering questions, supplementing those lectures with discussions, case studies, tutoring, quizzing, applying, etc.  Each of those sessions will be recorded so that you will have access if your schedule does not permit you to attend class that day.  You will need to purchase the MCGraw Hill access code, for the ninth edition. This access code can be found in your eLearn course when the semester starts, or you can purchase from the bookstore. These are the only two options for purchase of the correct customized code.

For lab, you will be using the materials on McGraw-Connect to do online/virtual labs.  You will not purchase an on-ground lab manual from the bookstore, the electronic pages of the lab manual are embedded in eLearn.  In addition, you will order a dissection kit.  For A&P1, the current price of the dissection kit is $49.50 plus shipping.

For lecture and for lab, you will have a total of four proctored exams.  Those exams can be proctored using the Honorlock test proctoring software from any location or you can make an appointment and use on-ground proctoring on campus.
