Q. For transfer students, how many credits must be taken here to earn a degree from Chattanooga State?
I have credit hours that I earned at my previous college. If I transfer these credits in, is there a minimum number of classes required to be taken at Chattanooga State for an Associate's degree to be issued?
Our "residency requirement" is 25% of the hours required for the major you choose. For example, for a typical 60-hour program, the student would need to take a minimum of 15 hours (25% of 60 hours) from Chattanooga State to be granted an Associate's Degree in that major. The student also must be sure that all the specific graduation requirements for that program are met.
