Most files with the extension wps are documents that were created with Microsoft Works, a simplified version of Microsoft Office that was often included free with new computers. Microsoft Works documents can usually be opened by any of the recent versions of Microsoft Word. To open the file, right-click on the file name, then select "Open with..." and select Microsoft Word.
However, wps files may also be documents that were created by Kingsoft Writer. To open these files, you may need to download a copy of Kingsoft Writer Free and install it on your computer.
You can also try opening the wps file with Notepad (available in Windows under All Programs > Accessories) as a plain text document.
