Patrons are fully responsible for any lost or damaged items they have checked out from the library.

Lost items:

  • Patrons will be charged for the cost of lost items.

Damaged items:

  • Patrons will be charged the library's cost of the items if the items cannot be repaired, or the items have signs of mold, mildew, warping and/or stains from water or other liquids.

  • If the items can be repaired, patrons with be charged the costs of the repair. Costs may include binding (determined by the size of the book), and/or $.50 per page to replace damaged or missing pages.
  • Patrons will be notified by phone, email, or letter when charges are owed for lost or damaged items.

  • Student accounts will be charged and holds will be placed and if these items are not paid for before the end of the semester.

  • Community patrons with outstanding items will be billed by the Business Office.
