Holds may be viewed in Tiger Web Student portal or at http://chattanoogastate.edu/status.

All financial obligations must be paid in full and holds must be removed before an official or unofficial transcript can be obtained or sent or the student is able to register for classes.

See examples of type of holds below:

Bursar Hold can only be removed once fees are paid in full. These are fees owed to the school that may be the result of dropping classes or withdrawing while using financial aid, or for parking tickets, late fees, etc.

Holds for documents can only be removed once the requested documents are turned in and processed.

Holds for exit interviews can only be removed once the student completes exit counseling at http://www.studentloans.gov. Allow 3-5 days for this site to inform us that exit counseling was completed. There are many reasons an exit interview hold may be placed on your account, such as changing a major, approaching graduation, missing a semester, dropping to less than full-time, and switching schools.

Holds for Selective Service require that the student provide proof of registration with Selective Service or send in a photo or copy of their Selective Service card. You may obtain proof of registration or register at http://www.sss.gov.

Documents may be faxed to 423-697-4709, or use a scanner or your smart phone to take a clear image of the document and email it to esc@chattanoogastate.edu. Documents or photos should be attached (not inserted), and for the Subject line of the email, put "To remove hold for.." and your name and A#. This email address is for attachments only, so DO NOT write anything in the email.

Allow 3-5 business days for documents to be received and processed.
