Error Message in TigerWeb Self Service Banner:   Stop Authorization Failure - Invalid User ID or PIN.

Ask the person what screen they were on (what they were trying to do) when they got the error.

--------------------------------------------------
IIf they were on a screen that says "Login Instructions - First Time Login:" and it says to log in with a UserID and PIN, they should not try to log in there -- they need to start fresh.

Tell them this:

1. To refresh your account, first make sure you are fully logged out of TigerWeb. Go to tigerweb.chattanoogastate.edu and click on Log Out if you see it in the top right area of the page.
2.  We also recommend that you clear your web browser cache, including cookies, for the MAXIMUM TIME PERIOD (choose "Everything" or "For all time") and then restart your browser.
3.  Now log back into TigerWeb, then click on the big words TigerWeb Self-Service at top left.
4.  You should see a green bar that says "Log into Self Service Banner." Click that and you should either:
  a. Go straight into Self Service without being asked for a PIN,
or
  b. Get a screen telling you your old PIN has expired and needs to be reset.
(Remind them that the old PIN is their 6-digit birthdate mmddYY and
that they must use only the last two digits of the birthyear).
--------------------------------------------------
II.  If they were trying to enter their "alternate PIN" to add or drop classes and they got the "Authorization failure" error, make sure they know that they should use their registration PIN for that semester, NOT the access PIN that they set up. Degree-seeking students can get their registration PIN from their academic advisor. Other students should check their TigerMail.
