As of Fall 2017, orientation is required of all new degree-seeking students. It is not required for TCAT students, previous Chatt State students, or students without a major.

Orientation sessions (50-300 students in each) are held on campus throughout the summer. Students are asked to complete the Online Orientation before they can register for an on-campus session. If they missed the last on-campus session (mid-August), they are allowed to do JUST the Online Orientation, but then they must make an appointment with their advisor to get registered.

Full orientation instructions are available on the website page for Orientation: https://www.chattanoogastate.edu/admissions/orientation

If the student isn't able to sign up by following the directions on that page, they should check their admission status to see if there are any holds or missing items on their checklist. For information on checking application status, see this question and answer.

If the student has no holds and the application checklist is complete, please submit a Help Request (at right) or suggest that the student go to the Welcome Center (in the Student Center).
